Dearborn Education Foundation funds innovative programs and leading edge technology throughout Dearborn Public Schools.  With the help of financial partners and volunteers in our community, we aim to positively impact the quality of education in Dearborn so all students can reach their given potential.

The members of the Board of Education and the Superintendent's office made a decision to do what so many other school districts in our state and across our nation have done - they decided to support and invest in their education foundation.  We are grateful for their action and know that this investment will be good for all our community stakeholders, most importantly our children and teachers.  THANK YOU!

The Dearborn Education Foundation is a licensed 501c3 non-profit organization that helps enhance the education that students receive from Dearborn Public Schools through grants to fund technology, equipment and innovative programs not funded by the school district’s budget.

OUR VISION

We see an organization that ensures the success of our schools, the effectiveness of our students and the progress of our community.

Our Board of Directors

Our Executive Team

The Board of Directors created a task force to take on the charge of establishing a policies & procedures reference book complete with a revised draft of our bylaws.  This hasn't been done before but it was clear that to move in the direction we set out for in 2009 - without it our efforts would be slowed.

The goal of creating this book was to identify procedures and policies based on national standards so that we may benchmark from it strategies for growing important areas of the foundation.

It is our hope that it will extend comfort and confidence to potential and current donors to know that we are now better equipped to:

                                                           create endowments
accept non-cash gifts such as stocks
receive restricted donations for specific schools/programs
                                                           establish planned-giving programs
                                                           develop annual giving campaigns
                                                           and more

We have also created from this book a pamphlet that has our bylaws, board roster and a copy of our articles of incorporation.  If you wish to view a copy of this pamphlet you can do so by clicking here.
