Partnering with Dearborn's Businesses and Community Volunteers

We assist the Dearborn Public Schools with help from financial partners and volunteers throughout the Dearborn community.

Founded in 1992, The Dearborn Education Foundation is comprised of Dearborn residents --parents, business owners, corporate partners, civil servants and others who wanted to make a difference in their schools and community.

Our Foundation exists to raise funds and distribute resources to achieve excellence in education. The Foundation goes beyond the normal operating budget to enhance learning opportunities for all students in Dearborn Public Schools. The funds that we distribute into the school district are used to enrich student achievement, expand learning, and provide the platform for everyone to excel.

All of these activities are made possible through special events, generous donations from corporate partners, individuals, community organizations and private grants.

The DEF is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. As a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt corporation, the Foundation is working to increase private support for the educational initiatives of DPS.
